Juan & Erica’s Story

Both raised in Elizabeth, NJ, Juan and Erica’s shared culture, humor, and reverence for life’s fragility aligned like distant stars, drawing their hearts into a single, steady orbit.

They instantly gravitated toward one another, first through a few flirtatious messages on social media, then through countless calls, texts, and restaurant dates in New York City. Their shared love of cooking, travel, and outer space soon became the love they shared for each other. Yes, that’s right, outer space.

As a graduate of the Rutgers School of Engineering, Juan earned his degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, bringing him closer to his dream of becoming an astronaut. While his current career may be a few light years away from that dream, exploring the intricacies of the universe has always brought him great joy.

Erica, on the other hand, prays to the Universe at any given moment, even and especially when she and Juan are circling Jersey City in search of a parking spot. The Parking Gods of the Universe never fail to provide.

More than anything, Juan and Erica hold deep respect for one another’s professions. It was clear to Juan that Erica cares deeply about her work in the Elizabeth community, and he admires that wholeheartedly. As for Erica, she may never fully understand the foreign language required to sell power monitoring systems, but she deeply admires the brilliance behind it all.

All in all, Juan and Erica, alongside their family and friends, make a remarkable team. Together, they have planned an elaborate celebration of their love. Only time will tell what other marvelous creations they will build in the future.
